I've got a few pc games that are not on the DB or could be verified.  I could dump them if someone pointed me in the right direction because I have no clue and I haven't seen any tutorial anywhere.  Just the SafeDisc thread but I don't even know if a game has SafeDisc or not.

Games:

-The Command & Conquer Saga (DVDs)
-Half-Life 2 (CDs)
-Doom 3 (CDs)
-Half-Life
-Half-Life - Opposing Force
-Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (CDs)
-Quake II
-Unreal

Install the game and check files using Protection ID tool

Quake II and Unreal are unprotected so you can dump them using the guide.

Ok, I tried dumping Quake II and EAC reported different pregaps than the ones listed in the DB.  I got 1.74 and the rest were 1.72.  I tried dumping it but it kept giving me errors so I skipped it.  Then I tried Unreal which is a single track.  Now this is weird.  It came out as a different file.  My file was slightly smaller than the one in the DB.  I didn't get any errors and my copy is scratch free.  I got this game waaay back when it launched.  Anyone knows what may be wrong?  I used Isobuster for data track.

Dunno about Quake II (your disc may be scratched), but Unreal could be a different version.. there are already 3 versions in the db, are you sure it didn't match any of them?

Well, for Unreal there is only 1 USA version but I checked the Europe ones just to make sure and my copy still doesn't match any of them.  I get CRC 278127a8.  Filesize is 531210960.  Barcode 7 42725 60369 1.  I dumped the track 3 times.  I'll try to dump it from my HDDVD drive now.

Yeah, same results.

I update other info on Unreal, ring, serial number etc.
I didn't put any version because when installed I checked log, console, about screens, etc and I didn't find any related to the version number. However, the log show this
Log: Log file open, 08/14/08 21:03:20
Init: Compiled: Jun 27 1998 06:24:08
Init: Command line:

The file Core.dll located on C:\Unreal\System has the same date, I supposed that on early releases, the developers named the version of the game using the date/time of compilation of the main dll (unreal engine). On posterior version they used number, like in the final official patch.

EDIT..
This are the scan of my disc
Jewel Case - Back
Jewel Case - Right Inlay
Disc
Left inlay and front cover differ from the ones on mobygames.
The front one on the site say "Actual gameplay screen (2 of 4)"
Mine says "Actual gameplay screen (1 of 4)" and it's a different image.
Also if you check close their disc image say at the bottom in the center 04-12527CD1, mine says 04-12527CD2, same in the ring enclosed on parenthesis, but the image it's the same.

Mine is exactly like the one on Mobygames but the front cover is actual gameplay screen 3 of 4... The one that appears in the Front Cover image.  The # on the disc itself is 04-12527CD1 like on Mobygames.  You sure they are the same image? My core.dll has a date of 05/17/1998 05:40:34

Any ideas of what could be wrong?

The xx xxxxx is because I don't know where to look for that #.  If its in the transparent inner layer it would be FP or IFPI 92S3.  I don't know if any of it matters though.

I think nothing is wrong, just two different releases for US. Nothing uncommon on this industry. and yes the images are the same, except for the ring code I posted before.

So it's just another version then?  Different hashes?  Should it be uploaded to DB as well?

I think it should... Specify the volume serial number at it would be fine smile
