1) There are many audio discs that are eligible but simply have not been dumped/submitted.  This is one such example.  It is directly game-related and therefore eligible.

Item #1: The Immortals - Mortal Kombat (Discogs, VGMdb)
I thought this (not particularly rare) Mortal Kombat CD would already be on Redump, but was surprised to find out it's not. Is this intentional, or was it simply never submitted? I couldn't find any prior discussion about it here on the forums or on the VGPC Discord.

Item #2: Game Programming Gems 3 (CD-ROM)
This game programming textbook comes with a CD-ROM, with the following description from the back of the book:

I was more focused directly on the encyclopedia / history focused discs, with the above comments.

Based on what I have researched so far, the PC okay! magazines / pamphlets seem to be more focused on general PC and multimedia, and not really gaming.  I'm guessing the content was just overlooked in these cases.  When I look at a standalone equivalent such as 'History of the World' it seems more like a digital/interactive encyclopedia, but not gaming related and not really eligible for redump.

They certainly seem interesting to preserve, but do not really seem redump eligible from my cursory review.  We'll update later if we have any other information, but I would assume they are not eligible unless proven otherwise.

We will take a closer look at this.

I ask because I have a copy of the 2 CD Billiken Compu June 2001 covermount release, which includes Silkolene Honda Motocross GP in one disc, and Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Space and the Universe in another. For what's worth, the latter is considered interactive enough for MobyGames.

For further context:

The same magazine also had the following release schedule involving Eyewitness titles: July 2001 was a 2 CD release with Akimbo: Kung-Fu Hero/Eyewitness Virtual Reality: Cat. September 2001 was a 3 CD release with Seven Kingdoms/Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Nature 2.0 + a CD-ROM with a bunch of Microsoft demos. And finally the October 2001 issue was a 3 CD release with Sergei Bubka's Millennium Games/Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Science 2.0 (also interactive enough for MobyGames) + a CD-ROM with another 9 demos from Microsoft.

Aditionally, the May 2001 Billiken Compu covermount was also a 2 CD Knights and Merchants/Eyewitness Virtual Reality: Dinosaur Hunter release, but there are at least three entries for that title in the database (90154, 32400 and 59197) already, so I assume it is elegible.

- Yes, all Nokia N-Gage discs are eligible, however as there is no system in redump for N-Gage it would either be deemed a PC disc, or added to a Non-Redump DAT (depending on content).

- Only official/licensed gaming peripheral driver discs are eligible (assuming the disc has no other gaming content), a driver disc bundled with a cheap third party controller is generally not eligible. If you have a query about a specific disc in this category, just ask.

I have a couple of driver discs, one for a flight stick style controller and another for a graphics card, that both have game demos on them. One of them also has a mod for Quake II. Would it be correct to assume, since they have game demos, that they'd be eligible for Redump?

For OEM Video Card driver discs instead, we're only adding it when there's game demos or similar content.

ELIGIBLE for Redump:

• Driver discs for official / licensed gaming peripherals

• Driver discs (for any device) that contain full games or game demos

• PC / Software discs specifically for gaming consoles, including PSP, N-Gage, and various other systems

NOT ELIGIBLE for Redump (assuming they have no games or direct gaming content also included:

• Driver discs for general PC peripherals, generic third party controllers and other devices
