One suggestion: CD Bremse. Very handy to set up manually read speeds, lower or higher when the app used to extract data cannot set up read speed. For example, IsoBuster.

A nice suggestion for Wii would be Wiim's ISO Tools. It's a collection of command line tools that do mostly everything. Regarding the tools' use with respect to Redump's intentions, it can be used to verify images and many other things such as different partitions, etc. It's the most complete Wii toolset to date, no bragging/propaganda intended. It would be nice to see it on the list.

Also, I prefer HxD over any other hex editor. It never gave me a problem on VistaX64 or on Win7x64. Reliable, stable and easy to use.

Replace DDump with this one: http://vigi.dremora.com/ddump.zip Apparently someone fixed it. It works on Windows Vista 32bit for me. Your posted version doesn't work for me on Vista. Got it from a forum post from jackal.

I don't think WBFS is at all relevant to redump's goals since it's only any use with trimmed/scrubbed games.

What's so buggy about HxD that makes it not recommended? It's the best hex editor I've ever used!

You could add WBFS manager for the Wii for managing ISOs on a hard drive for Wii USB Loaders.
