The subtitles are hard-coded into .vobs and even by playing back each vob separately, there are no english subtitles. In the VLC neither.

It says "Subtitles: English, French, German".

The fact is, that in the root menu, you can select between english, french, and german, but if you choose english, you've got only english audio, but NO subtitles.

Thus, correctly it should say:

Audio: English
Subtitles: French, German
