ok, I'm seriously concerned now. The computer shuts down regardless of which drive or cd I'm using. Happens randomly as soon as the drive reads from the cd. Could it be that the power supply is insufficient for all the peripherals connected to it? (my graphics card requires 2 power connections...?) but it has worked fine before...

The computer shut down when I inserted the disc and the drive started reading it, when IsoBuster was in the middle of extracting the cd image and when the computer was booting up and the drive started reading the disc.

I have other drives but they're not installed. Hopefully I'll be able to do that tomorrow.
