If you do not have a 3Dump.bin for the drive, you can still use the drive if you use the Ripper program to overwrite its unique keys with default ones (this is "remarrying"). The default keys will make the drive unusable in any console, so the drive will only be good for ripping discs. A drive from eBay would only work in the original owner's console, so using the default keys is the only option.

If you decide to buy a PS3 BD drive, make sure it comes with the drive circuit board. Some drives for sale are missing this part and it is necessary for the drive to function.

About the title, we use No-Intro's naming scheme, so "Infamous" looks correct.

Could you provide the Toolstamp and Mould SID Code for your discs? We can accept the dumps without them, but it would be nice to add them for completeness.


Regarding metadata, you can dump it without a modded PS3 using a 3k3y Ripper PCB + PS3 BD Drive from eBay. This method isn't fully explained in the guide, but overall it is simple and not very expensive. It might be worth investing in if you have a lot of discs to dump.

In that form, enter the mastering ring code as «A0101218038-A511[TAB]1000» (so that the moderator which will verify that new dump can put the correct tab character). Or copy and paste temporally that mastering ring code into a notepad and replace the space of «A0101218038-A511 1000» with a tab. Then copy and paste the mastering ring code with the tab character in the mastering ring code field of the new disc form.
