Of course. I did some more research: This is the contemporary story about the uninstaller bug on Myth II and the recall. Which doesn't disprove that the same bug existed on Myth I, of course, but if it did, why wouldn't that story mention it? It must be a confusion of the two games.

And I remembered a good way to check for Mac hybrids: IsoBuster displays all file systems on a disc, and the Myth I disc does indeed show an HFS file system.

So I retract the comment about the hybrid disc, but am still confident the uninstaller comment is incorrect.

I think something might have went wrong with the comments at http://redump.org/disc/15313/

First, the comment about the broken uninstaller must refer to Myth II. That was the one were version 1.0 was recalled days after being shipped according to all sources I can find. So the comment probably belongs here http://redump.org/disc/95145/.

Second, I thinks this might not actually be a Mac hybrid disc. On the original Myth, PC and Mac releases were separate SKUs, and I cannot get the disc to mount in a Mac emulator. I am far from a Mac expert, however.

Since Myth II is indeed a PC/Mac hybrid and it had the uninstaller problem, did comments for Myth II possibly end up at the Myth I record somehow?

Fixed below -Nova
And also regarding Myth, about the two Beta releases http://redump.org/disc/108094/ and http://redump.org/disc/108093/
Was it confirmed these were US-specific? Because the Eidos branding leads me to wonder whether they should be European instead, because Eidos published the game in Europe only AFAICT.
