I'm a long-time enjoyer of redump.org for its role in creating a world with verifiably accurate game dumps.

My main reason for now wanting to post here is to share my own notes and ask technical questions about CDDA ripping. In particular, I've noticed that redumper is able to rip CDs with certain Red Book violations that EAC and XLD cannot, so there's good technical knowledge in this community that I'm interested in better understanding.

I also have a good Plextor and would be willing to occasionally contribute to other media preservation efforts. I'm unsure though about how folks even acquire the remaining exotic CDs that still haven't been preserved and whether significant financial commitments would be required to participate.
