update:
two discs dumped with matching checksums from redump. Trying SFIV right now and it gave me the bad sector error which is either because I bumped the drive or this security thing I read about. I think I've got it running. very finicky software and hardware though.

Xbox Backup Creator crashes almost immediately.]]> I just purchased both a BenQ and a X360USBPro2. I've been following the guides (I think successfully) to get 0800 firmware installed using jungleflasher and it is now showing up as an active drive.

Inside the software. it can detect the game data and I can even view folders. But the problem is when I start a backup it will go for a second or so and then CTD with no messages in log. The log actually cuts itself off.

I'm using Win10 if that might affect it. I've tried multiple compatibility modes, but it doesn't change anything.

Anyone happen to know what might cause this?

edit: one other thing is that XBC says "This is not a true 1 to 1 copy", but when I look into the Read Me I don't exactly see why this is. I'm not even sure this is an issue as I can't even get more than a 200kb dump off the disc.
