The main motivation is that I've written a tool for verifying dumps that are compressed in .chd or .rvz format against the Redump Datfiles. The tool is nearly ready for release and I'd like to post about it here if that would be allowable. I also have two or three games that only have one dump in the database and I intend to rip those to submit verifications.
