most likely it will not run properly, but text strings are readable at least.
there doesn't seem to be any references to securom though, but cdcheck is indeed present:
"Unable to find Turok2 CD, Verify CD is in drive and no other application is using CDROM Drive."
"Turok2 requires a CDROM Drive to run!"

I suppose the compression is part of the protection.. so unless someone can unpack it manually, we'll just have to assume that it doesn't have an active protection.

Was you able to unpack the EXE ? If not try this -> Universal Extractor 1.6 setup.exe portable

There are euro release, i believe it has English, French, Italian, Spanish. But yours could be English only!

I saw the corrupted sector!
Maybe your disc has the very first SecuROM "protection", which was also ineffective then big_smile

The weird thing also is, the exe won't launch on xp unless I rename it from Turok2English.exe to Turok2.exe..

If any of you knows how to unpack this piece of shit exe, plz do: http://vigi.dremora.com/Turok2.rar ..  or if there's a  different way of determining the SecuROM version, plz lemme know.
